Education Partnerships in Africa (EPA)
Education Partnerships in Africa (EPA) is a programme launched by the UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).
Education Partnerships in Africa (EPA) funds partnerships between further education and higher education institutions in England and sub-Saharan Africa that contribute to EPA outcomes. EPA provides up to £60,000 for each 12 or 18 month partnership. More information can be downloaded from the EPA website.
EPA partnerships must develop employability, entrepreneurship and skills for local economies. Capacity-building of higher education and further education institutions is another major theme.
The Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS), formerly the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS), in England is providing £4.5 million of partnership grant funding. The British Council is also working towards EPA outcomes in England and Africa.
